Hope, Integrity, and Determination

Our Family MOtto: We will do all we know to be right, we will hope for all that we believe to be true, we will trust that God will make up the rest.

Life at our house is ever so fun. Kai and Driggs are in preschool 3 days a week and they absolutely love that time of their own. It is fun to also have that time with little Gus-a-roonie. His favorite past time is not just playing in the dirt, but actually pouring it all over himself. I would think he is similar to a rhino or elephant trying to cool himself down, but I still have not noticed a tail or horns growing from him. Kai will start T-ball next week. His first practice was so fun to watch. During batting practice if you by chance had the ball hit to you, you might as well drop it quickly before Kai came and bulldozed you over. I think I saw a handful of kids remain with the ball long enough to throw it back to home plate. Gus has his first surgery this week on his neck where they found two separate cysts that were attached to the lymph node. All is well; by the end of it he was calling the nurse "poopy head" so I am pretty sure life is the same for him. Skeet is working lots in Provo and we love those days when we see him coming down Barney Dairy Road. Life is just not the same without him. We are so grateful for him and his sacrifice to commute. I am now teaching the 16 years olds in our ward. It has been a challenge and yet, so rewarding to know and witness who is in charge of this work. We are trying our best to just make each day better. We know all we can give is the best we can and thank goodness the rest is made up for us.

For Memorial weekend we had a great time with Jenny, Jake and the kids. We got to play the role of tour guide. It doesn't matter how many times we go to Mesa Falls, it is always worth the drive. I think that spring/summer is here to stay "hopefully". Our little garden is coming along thanks to all the work that Skeet and Zack put into it. We also are on the tail end of all the spring projects so I asked my neighbor to write a list for me to keep me busy during the days. I will be running in the Teton Dam race in 2 weeks and that should be fun. My knees have been bothering me but hopefully it is just an enjoyable experience. My latest running experience is my toe nail is oozing liquid and close to falling off from a long run 2 weeks ago. By the end of the summer I may have the sexiest toes on the street; all missing toe nails. Since my husband is always making up new nick names for me, I can already here something close to, "nub" coming out of his mouth.

Heather,
I'm just barely figuring out how this works...it's cool, and I love the pictures. I tried to make, me a blogspot, but it is pretty lame: simplepleasureschoosetoremember@blogspot.com
Love you long time!
